United Way of Franklin County Live United
Give Advocate Volunteer

The United Way in Franklin County began as a way to provide a simple, affordable, and efficient way for people to support their community. Today, the United Way of Franklin County, remains a local, independent non-profit organization, and is the largest private funder of health and human service agencies in our community.

The United Way offers every individual the opportunity to become part of something larger than him/herself. It stresses his/her importance as an individual and as a person who is part of a community that cares collectively for one another.

Through just one gift, each participant touches the lives of thousands.

  • Provides agency information & referral services
  • Encourages collaborative efforts among agencies in the community
  • Researches community needs
  • Identifies solutions
  • Raises funds & invests those dollars into priority areas of need
  • Coordinates volunteer involvement

The United Way identifies the most pressing community issues and targets funds into priority areas of need, to maximize the results of its community investments. Volunteer assistance helps keep costs low for UWFC and allows agencies to focus on providing services to the community rather than fundraising.
